How Our Site Works
Site Navigation
Navigation through our website is simple. The home page has pictures and category titles to our products pages. Once a user selects a product category, or a menu selection other than our home page, a menu bar at the head of each page has the main menu for our product categories and the About Our Site link. The side bar menu has links back to home, our contact information, the about us page, and our monthly special. Below those menu selections are selections to product categories and a view cart button. If a menu selection takes you to a sub category of a specific set of products the top link in the list will take you back to the main category.
Pictures and Hyperlinks to Other Pages
Pictures and other links that would normally take your browser to a new page will invoke a new browser session. This allows you to hold your current place on our website, while viewing other link information, or the enlarged picture of an item. You will know when this occurs, because there will be no back button on the newly invoked browser page. Simply close the browser window to go back to your place on the Horse Pro Shop site.
Our Shopping Cart Tool
Throughout the ordering process a customer adds products to their shopping cart. Once an item is added to your shopping cart, you can either return to the previous page where the last item was added, or view/edit your shopping cart. The view/edit page allows you to increase the quantity for a particular item, enter 0 or less to remove an item from your shopping cart, or check out with secure order processing. When the update button is selected, the update page shows all of the items currently in your shopping cart. From the update page, you can view/edit your shopping cart, or continue shopping on the last product page viewed. At the checkout page it is still possible to return to the last product page and continue shopping, or submit your order for secure processing. You are not committed to a purchase until you enter your payment information, so feel free to explore with our shopping cart. Your shopping cart orders are maintained through browser cookies. If you have any difficulty with our shopping cart, please make sure you have cookies enabled.
Privacy and Data Collection
Everyone shopping online is burdened with the concern of sharing their personal information, so we designed our site to allow our customers the utmost privacy. Orders on our website are processed through PayPal, because PayPal is a trusted online authority in credit card and payment processing. If you place your order through our online store, we will receive your payment from PayPal and your shipping information for shipping the products you purchased. You are not required to have a PayPal account to place an order. Both PayPal users and non-PayPal users can make purchases from our website through PayPal’s payment processing system. We will never use your contact information for solicitation unless you specifically request updates for product pricing or our specials, and we do not share your contact information with any other organizations.
Cart Interaction and PayPal Payment Processing
During your shopping experience, your shopping cart information is protected through our secure certificate ( SSL). Only your browser and our site can see the products you have in your shopping cart. When you check out, your entire shopping cart is encrypted by encryption technology provided by Innovative Tech, Inc. During the encryption process a PayPal Secure Payment button is generated. Innovative Tech's encryption technology protects our customers and the Horse Pro Shop from spoofing PayPal orders. When you select the PayPal Secure Payment button, you are redirected to PayPal’s secure payment site. You can still view your shopping cart at PayPal’s site, and enter your payment and shipping details.
Product Pricing and Order Processing Disclaimer
We have devoted a lot of time and effort to ensuring that our customers receive accurate pricing and order processing. In the event that our staff notices an error in pricing or listing of a product, or our order processing system, you will be notified immediately by email, phone, or USPS. We will do our best to resolve the matter quickly. In the even of a gross error in pricing of any product we will either provide the product to you at our cost, or provide you with a full refund for that product and make product listing and/or order processing corrections.
